Torrance bowling alley shooting

A mass shooting occurred on the evening of January 4, 2019 at a bowling alley called the Gable House Bowl in Torrance, California, part of Los Angeles County's Pacific coastal area. Three African-American men in their twenties (two of them fathers) were killed and four other people were injured. This was the first nationally reported mass-shooting in the United States in 2019. Incident: The shooting occurred at the same time as a fight at the entrance to the bowling alley involving 20 people, which also features laser tag and arcade games. An eyewittness claimed that the fight that led to the shooting lasted about five minutes and completely blocked the entrance into the establishment. Victims: Three men were declared deceased after the shooting and four others were wounded. Two of the injured men sought their own medical attention while the two others were transported to local hospitals.
