Fuillerat then wrote a suicide note (which content remains confidential) pinned it into his vest and killed himself with his own weapon. Lisa and Vicente Fuillerat were scheduled to meet in the court, that same day, as they were both in process of getting divorced definetly. Both victims were teachers at a Lake Gibson Middle School, and had been into a relationship since at least two years prior the murder.

In 1990s, he met his husband, Vincent Fuillerat, with whom she had two children, Michael and Amanda. In 2014, they separated, and Hailer got a job in Lake Gibson Middle School. That same year Hailer moved to a workmate's house, Samara Routerberg, who later began a relationship with her, they lived together until their deaths. Samara L. Routerberg was a principal assistant and maths teacher. Samara was born on December 27, 1977 in Harvey, Illinois to David and Kerri Routenberg. She started to work in 2001 as a math teacher and soon after she worked in the Florida department of Education, finally, she got a job as a principal assistant in the Orlando, Florida, Lake Gibson Middle School, where she worked until her death.
Perpetrator: Vincente "Vince" Fuillerat was a 53-year-old electronic security consultant. He was born sometime between 1964 and 1965, to Vincente Sr. and unknown mother. Little is known about his life, except he married Lisa Heiler in the late 1980s or early 1990s, and had two children with her.
Events prior to the murder: In 2014, Hailer moved from her former home, to Samara Routerberg's home located in Hickory Creek Drive, Brandon, a community close to Orlando, Florida. During that period, they began a hidden relationship. Contemporarily, Hailer began a process of divorce, although Fuillerat denied to sign the proper documents, nor accept to formally divorce. On October 2, 2015, Fuillerat entered inside Routerberg's home from the garage door, after Routerberg noticed his prescence, she confronted him, and expelled him, Fuillerat left and then came back carrying and "unknown blunt object", he then struck Routenberg's face several times, and slammed her head against the paviment. Fuillerat was then arrested and charged for aggravated battery and burglary. Because he didn't any previous charges in Florida, he was sentenced to 36 months in probation, and had to paid $6,040 (equivalent to $6,573.98 as of 2020) for Routerberg's medical bills. Three days later, Routerberg signed an order of restriction On October 21, 2015, Hailer filed for a dissolution of marriage in Polk County, against Fuillerat. However due to his opposition, the divorce process extended at least one and a half years more. Since then, Heiler and Routerberg trained themselves, and adquired two pistols, one for each other, and began to practice in Brandon's Shooting ranges.

Both Hailer and Routerberg, noticed the entrance of the suspect, as alarms began to ring shortly after Fuillerat broke into. Fuillerat, Hailer and Routerberg held a shooting for an undertermined period of time. Even though the two women managed to hit and hurt Fuillerat several times, in the end, both women ended up being fatally wounded and both were killed. Fuillerat then wrote a suicide note, and shortly after killed himself.
Aftermath: Next day, the three corpses were discovered, and as the letter depicted, Fuillerat's motives for killing were mainly jelousy and impotence. According to Fuillerat's Attorney Ralph Fernandez in an interview to the New York Post. "He felt the relation was immoral; He called it a lot worse than that. He said 'I can't compete with that'"
